About Us

DarDigital was created in 2009. It is a small web development company founded by a father, Ben Dar, and son, Sam Dar, team located in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Ben has two higher education degrees, i.e., a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He taught photography and graphic arts for approximately 10 years at Black Hills State University and spent another 21 years in various university administration positions from department chair for the departments of Mass Communication and Art to Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs at BHSU.

Sam has had access to computers since the day he was born. Sam is proficient in website design/development and computer technical support including building computers and digital photography and graphic design. He uses a variety of software including Microsoft Office 2007, Bamboo graphics tablet and software, Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks, a graphics software application, and Joomla!, a Dynamic Content Management system (CMS) for building interactive websites.
